DESCRIPTION:ESU 3 will host the Battle of the Books! Battle of the Books 
 is all about READING…..and having fun while doing it.\n\nParticipating sc
 hools may register as many teams as they would like for the competition. 
 Each team can have up to six members. When registering\, please note\, if
  your 6th grade is part of the elementary school system in your district\
 \, please register them for the elementary Battle of the Books (Grades 4-5
 -6). If your 6th grade is part of the middle school system\, please regis
 ter them for the middle school Battle of the Books (Grades 6-7-8).\n\nThi
 s contest is a mix of comprehension book knowledge along with project bas

DESCRIPTION:ESU #3 is proud to assume the role of delivering the popular 
 and successful UNO Mentor Training.\nMentors have an opportunity to insti
 ll confidence\, focus\, perspective\, and a working knowledge that will h
 elp new/beginning teachers develop into highly accomplished educators. Tr
 ained mentors are able to assist\, advise\, and support the induction and
  retention of new and beginning colleagues to the profession of teaching.
  Experienced staff members are encouraged to join us for the ESU#3 Mentor
  Training: Teachers Helping Teachers. Practice networking skills\, build 
 on strengths\, and renew yourself professionally by joining us on June 19
 th.\nSession outcomes:\n\n    Participants will understand\, accept and p
 redict the needs of new teachers at various stages of their development.\
 n    Participants will understand the role of the mentor\, various mentor
 ing styles as well as the  behaviors of effective mentors.\n    Participa
 nts will feel confident in their role as mentor by reviewing case studies
 \, discussing scenarios\, and reviewing resources available to support th
 em as mentors.
