This session will use activities and videos to demonstrate techniques that have helped hundreds of schools upgrade their MTSS efforts to serve the whole child. You will leave with practical steps for turning your problem solving efforts into productive intervention-planning sessions as described in the book Causes and Cures of Academic and Behavior Problems. All participants will receive this book.
Outcomes include:
- Learn to balance focus on both strengths and needs of the student.
- Agree on specific roles and responsibilities to ensure effective use of meeting time.
- Provide simple tools for measuring growth as well as strategies to help everyone reflect on what works and what needs to be adjusted.
- Look at ways to provide interventions for all tiers as well as for the home setting.
An administrator needs to attend this session with teachers. |
