Description | | EL Collaborative Conference Agenda
ESUs #3, #4, and #7 are excited to present a collaborative professional learning opportunity that targets current trends and issues related to meeting the needs of K-12 English learners. The EL Collaborative Conference features keynote and breakout sessions from Jane Hill, multiple breakout sessions of choice by Terri Schuster from NDE and expert practitioners, and the unique opportunity to network with colleagues from various schools, districts, and service agencies. Bring extra educator business cards, as the day will be filled with collaboration opportunities!
Jane Hill has worked in the areas of second language acquisition and special education for 38 years. At McREL International, she provides coaching and PD for teachers and administrators nationally and internationally on research-based best practices for teaching English language learners and academic language learners. Jane is the co-author of Classroom Instruction that Works with English Language Learners (ASCD, 2006, 2013) and has written articles for Language Magazine, The Journal of Staff Development, The School Administrator, Phi Delta Kappan, and Educational Leadership.
Classroom teachers, administrators, curriculum and assessment directors will find sessions that address topics and practices of interest and need.
