How will I know if a workshop is cancelled due to weather?
Listen to your local TV stations, check the ESU #3 web page (www.esu3.org) or call 597-4800 for a recorded message.
Can I be billed for a workshop fee or pay with a credit card?
Individuals cannot be billed for workshops and we are unable to process credit cards.
How are payments made for workshops?
Districts are billed for associated staff.
Can I cancel a registration for a workshop?
Cancellations will be accepted up to three business days before the workshop begins. Cancellations not received three business days in advance and "No-Shows" will be billed.
Can I participate if I am not affiliated with an ESU #3 school?
Registration is opened to the public. However, non-ESU #3 schools will be notified no later than three business days prior to the date of the workshop if there is no space available.

Description | | Play is Not as Easy as it Looks: How to Teach Joint Attention and Object Based Play to Young Children with ASD or Other Developmental Disabilities
Dates: January 22 and January 29, 2021 *Both sessions must be attended.

Audience: Early Childhood Teachers (2 yrs.-8 yrs.), Special Education Teachers, SLP’s, Para Educators, Parents and other staff working with young children with Autism or other Developmental Disabilities.
Participants will learn:
- Overview of core deficits of young children with ASD
- Why joint attention is important and strategies for teaching joint attention
- Importance of using ABA to teach young children with ASD
- How to teach object play using simple imitation
- How to teach multi-step play schemes to children with ASD
- How to structure play environment and play activities for young children with ASD
