Do you want active science learning in your elementary classroom? This is an opportunity to participate in science investigations as you develop instructional strategies to engage students in doing science supported by reading and writing. Science instruction will be modeled using the Gather, Reason, Communicate instructional sequence.
This professional learning opportunity focuses on how teachers can best use science phenomena to engage students in three-dimensional science performances consistent with the new Nebraska College and Career Ready Standards for Science. Teachers will engage in investigations of science phenomena as effective instruction is modeled, and receive a complete set of science lessons aligned to your grade-level science standards.
Participants will receive a copy of the book Teaching Science is Phenomenal. |
