How will I know if a workshop is cancelled due to weather?
Listen to your local TV stations, check the ESU #3 web page (www.esu3.org) or call 597-4800 for a recorded message.
Can I be billed for a workshop fee or pay with a credit card?
Individuals cannot be billed for workshops and we are unable to process credit cards.
How are payments made for workshops?
Districts are billed for associated staff.
Can I cancel a registration for a workshop?
Cancellations will be accepted up to three business days before the workshop begins. Cancellations not received three business days in advance and "No-Shows" will be billed.
Can I participate if I am not affiliated with an ESU #3 school?
Registration is opened to the public. However, non-ESU #3 schools will be notified no later than three business days prior to the date of the workshop if there is no space available.

Morning Keynote Presentation: Practical Strategies for Monolingual SLPs Assessing and Treating Bilingual Children with Tatyana Elleseff, MA CCC-SLP from Smart Speech Therapy LLC
This interactive virtual session discusses how monolingual SLPs can provide effective evidence-based practice speech-language assessments to differentiate between bilingual English language learners and bilinguals with primary language impairment. It also offers recommendations regarding therapeutic interventions for bilingual children with language impairments.
After the completion of this presentation learners will be able to:
1. Compare and contrast simultaneous and sequential bilingual language
development including important bilingual language milestones
2. Describe characteristics of primary language impairment vs. subtractive
language acquisition
3. Discuss research driven EBP in dynamic assessment of bilingual learners
4. Implement learner appropriate intervention strategies
