How will I know if a workshop is cancelled due to weather?
Listen to your local TV stations, check the ESU #3 web page (www.esu3.org) or call 597-4800 for a recorded message.
Can I be billed for a workshop fee or pay with a credit card?
Individuals cannot be billed for workshops and we are unable to process credit cards.
How are payments made for workshops?
Districts are billed for associated staff.
Can I cancel a registration for a workshop?
Cancellations will be accepted up to three business days before the workshop begins. Cancellations not received three business days in advance and "No-Shows" will be billed.
Can I participate if I am not affiliated with an ESU #3 school?
Registration is opened to the public. However, non-ESU #3 schools will be notified no later than three business days prior to the date of the workshop if there is no space available.

Description | | Place Value is poorly represented in many math programs and it is a key element in mathematical understanding; all elementary teachers need to understand the importance of teaching place value. Kim Sutton will help you make place value come alive for your students. This session will examine how to teach place value effectively using a powerful three-step process, how to motivate students, and will demonstrate practical strategies that you can use tomorrow in your classroom.
Kim Sutton’s own brand of motivational strategies are infectious and you will gain new ways to generate enthusiasm for learning mathematics with your students. Kim will arm you with many tools, games, centers, literature, and music that are amazing and simple to use. You will also see practical and meaningful classroom management strategies throughout the session.
