Description | | This workshop will benefit Coaches, Principals, and non-evaluative instructional support personnel. The research is clear that teacher effectiveness is the #1 determinant of student success. As instructional leaders, (mentors, coaches, teacher leaders, content specialists), it’s our paramount responsibility to ensure high-quality instruction resonates in the classrooms around us.
So how do we lead teachers to make the necessary changes? What does this work look like? How do we reach the unwilling and resistant? Is it really possible to shift beliefs and action? Are there ways to measure the impact of our work? Get answers to these tough questions and more from ASCD author and coaching specialist, Alisa Simeral.
In this interactive, informative, and engaging professional development experience, participants will be led deeply into the concept of self-reflection and learn how to cultivate a school culture that values instructional coaching, continuous growth, rich feedback and professional dialogue. Instructional leaders will discover the art of and strategies for providing individualized support to teachers in ways that address their unique needs. This session is filled with practical tools and proven strategies that are immediately applicable, long-lasting, and effective on all levels, in all contents, and across all demographics. Let’s build our teachers’ capacity for success!
