How will I know if a workshop is cancelled due to weather?
Listen to your local TV stations, check the ESU #3 web page (www.esu3.org) or call 597-4800 for a recorded message.
Can I be billed for a workshop fee or pay with a credit card?
Individuals cannot be billed for workshops and we are unable to process credit cards.
How are payments made for workshops?
Districts are billed for associated staff.
Can I cancel a registration for a workshop?
Cancellations will be accepted up to three business days before the workshop begins. Cancellations not received three business days in advance and "No-Shows" will be billed.
Can I participate if I am not affiliated with an ESU #3 school?
Registration is opened to the public. However, non-ESU #3 schools will be notified no later than three business days prior to the date of the workshop if there is no space available.
| Description | | ESUs 3, 4, 6 and 7 are excited to present a collaborative professional learning opportunity. This session offers ELA and EL/ML teachers an insight into the unique needs of multilingual writers and provides practical strategies to address these needs. The session is designed to offer teachers a variety of techniques to enhance their writing instruction for newcomer and long-term language learners. During the session, the participants will sample activities for the sentence and paragraph level instruction and participate in simulated mini-lessons.
