Note: This is a live, zoom training, participants in the metro region must attend at regional site, ESU #3
Audience: This hybrid training is appropriate for teams working with students of all ages and could include resource teachers, SLPs, OTs, PTs, counselors, school psychologists, general
education teachers, parents and administrators.
Description: Individuals with ASD often have sensory differences that interfere with the
occupations of childhood. It is critical that we support their neurological differences through a
sensory friendly approach.
-This training will offer information on sensory integration and processing.
-Participants will be exposed to problem solving tools to ease intervention planning.
-Participants will develop an understanding of sensory informed interventions.
-Participants will develop an understanding of the evidence-based practices to guide
interventions.
-Participants will be exposed to data tracking tools for intervention effectiveness
Utilizing the individualized supports covered in this training could be a NeMTSS Tier 1, 2 or 3
