This workshop will explore hand lettering and graffiti style of art. Graffiti art encourages beautification, allows for self expression and creates a sense of identity. These qualities will be our focus for creating graffiti art. We will discuss appropriate places to practice this art form.  Students will learn how to draw 3D letters in a graffiti style. We will then transfer the word/name they chose onto a large canvas board. Using acrylic paints, students will paint the letters and create a textured brick wall behind their word. Through this workshop, students will learn the process of creating a project beginning with the inspiration through idea development, project creation, completion and critique.
