Audience:
This workshop is intended for classroom teachers, speech/language pathologists, resource specialists,
parents, community providers, related service providers, and paraeducators who work with students
(Pre-K – 21) with Autism who have more significant and complex support needs. Participants will
receive links to files that include examples of tasks, schedules, and visuals.
Description:
Participants will learn the important components of structured teaching as well as the following:
-Overview and Physical Structure
-Schedules, mini schedules, routines
-Visual Structure
-Work Systems, Schedules and Tasks
-Play and Leisure
-Putting it altogether and Resources
Considering one of their current students, participants will have the opportunity to apply some of the new knowledge learned.
