How will I know if a workshop is cancelled due to weather?
Listen to your local TV stations, check the ESU #3 web page (www.esu3.org) or call 597-4800 for a recorded message.
Can I be billed for a workshop fee or pay with a credit card?
Individuals cannot be billed for workshops and we are unable to process credit cards.
How are payments made for workshops?
Districts are billed for associated staff.
Can I cancel a registration for a workshop?
Cancellations will be accepted up to three business days before the workshop begins. Cancellations not received three business days in advance and "No-Shows" will be billed.
Can I participate if I am not affiliated with an ESU #3 school?
Registration is opened to the public. However, non-ESU #3 schools will be notified no later than three business days prior to the date of the workshop if there is no space available.

Audience: We recommend that you attend the training with another team member, if possible, who work with students with autism or developmental disabilities (special education teachers, SLP’s, administrators, para educators and other professionals working with students with autism).
*All participants must have completed the Three Day Verbal Behavior Training and MUST be consistently using Verbal Behavior teaching protocols with children who are READY for these higher level verbal skills.
Description: Participants of this training will learn the critical importance of ensuring learners have a broad tact repertoire and the role it plays in acquiring verbal skills including intraverbals and answering yes/no questions, as well as the application of joint control. Participants will learn procedures for using autoclitics to teach students to engage in question discrimination. Protocols covered will include: tacts of actions, parts and features of objects, prepositions, 2 component listener responses, and tacts for adjectives. Information will also be shared regarding data collection and error correction procedures. Utilizing the individualized intensive supports covered in this training could be a NeMTSS Tier 3 intervention. For more information on NeMTSS visit https://nemtss.unl.edu/about/.
Training activities will include:
-Choral responding, written pre/post-tests, the use of guided notes and competency checks on teaching procedures.
-All attendees should come prepared to participate in all training activities. |
