Paper Collage Animals

Inspired by the collage art of Clare Youngs, we will create our own patterned paper using paint sticks, markers and ink. Animals of the students’ choice will be created using these papers. Students will cut each animal part from complimentary papers which results in a well-balanced work of art. Through this workshop, students will learn the process of creating a project beginning with the inspiration through idea development, project creation, completion and critique. 

Instructor Bio

Julie Fjell is an artist, designer and art instructor. She has taught all ages from preschool to senior citizens, as well as developed art camps and art clubs. Along with teaching workshops and memory care patients, Julie has a business selling her artwork. She received her degree in Art Education from Nebraska Wesleyan University.
