How will I know if a workshop is cancelled due to weather?
Listen to your local TV stations, check the ESU #3 web page (www.esu3.org) or call 597-4800 for a recorded message.
Can I be billed for a workshop fee or pay with a credit card?
Individuals cannot be billed for workshops and we are unable to process credit cards.
How are payments made for workshops?
Districts are billed for associated staff.
Can I cancel a registration for a workshop?
Cancellations will be accepted up to three business days before the workshop begins. Cancellations not received three business days in advance and "No-Shows" will be billed.
Can I participate if I am not affiliated with an ESU #3 school?
Registration is opened to the public. However, non-ESU #3 schools will be notified no later than three business days prior to the date of the workshop if there is no space available.

All Things Autism and Early Childhood: How and What to Teach Young Learners

Audience:
This workshop is intended for school team members who work with young children (ages Birth to 5) with autism or characteristics of autism.
Attendees may include Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) teachers, speech-language pathologists (SLPs), administrators, and service coordinators. Parents, family members, and paraprofessionals are also welcome to attend alongside their school team members.
Description: This 2 day training will provide an overview of important topics related to identifying and understanding the diverse needs of young children with autism. Universal and core classroom-wide practices will be discussed, as well as the development of effective, individualized intervention programs.
This training will focus on early intervention practices for teams working with young children, from birth to three years old (Part C) as well as those working with individuals aged three to five years and beyond. (Part B).
