Description

Join us for an immersive full-day professional learning experience centered on the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework as a key component of your Continuous Improvement and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) journey.


Intended Audience:

Newer to UDL: District/school leadership team, MTSS teams, instructional coaches, and educators passionate about designing learning for all students.

Outcomes:

Morning: Community of Practice

  • Deepen understanding and application of the UDL Principles and Guidelines in learning design.

  • Explore effective strategies within the UDL Framework for supporting student-specific goals (IEPs, ELs, Gifted, etc.).

  • Design approaches to support educators in the application of the UDL framework in learning design along with their adopted curriculum. 

  • Build clarity as a leader for recognizing and reducing barriers to implementing the UDL Framework across systems. 

Afternoon: Focus of Practice

  • Analyze the impact of your district’s current UDL practices to determine your team’s next steps and develop shared commitments that advance implementation in your system. 


Learning Environment:

To optimize your learning experience, please bring headphones/earbuds for video opportunities, your favorite notetaking method, and a sweater/jacket in case the room has a chill.
