Description | | Supporting Students with School Avoidance and Absenteeism
Join us for this collaborative event is designed for school psychologists, social workers, counselors and administrators who are seeking effective strategies and frameworks to address school avoidance and absenteeism. Participants will learn about potential Special Education and Section 504 rules and regulations, explore a tiered intervention approach, and engage in discussions about best practices for supporting students at various levels of need.
Participants will:
-Develop a deeper understanding of how to apply a tiered approach to school avoidance and absenteeism by designing a collaborative system of intervention and support
-Share experiences, discuss challenges, and explore strategies for engaging with teachers, families, and other school staff to address school avoidance and absenteeism |
