Description

The 2017 Science Olympiad, now hosted by Gifford Farm Education Center located in Bellevue, Nebraska is for teams of students in grades 4th, 5th, and 6th.  A team consists of 2 students.  

 

Elementary Science Olympiad events will provide each child with in-depth and hands-on experiences with concepts of team building, animal science, space science, and orienteering.

First, second, and third place ribbon awards will be presented to teams per activity.  No pre-event practice is necessary for teams to participate.  

 

SCHEDULE:

9:15-9:30 - Check -In

9:30-9:40 - Welcome

9:45-10:30 - Session 1

10:35-11:20 - Session 2

11:20-11:55 – Lunch*

12:00-12:45 - Session 3

12:50-1:35 - Session 4

1:40-2:00 - Closing & Awards

 

*LUNCH:

This is a brown bag event and participants should bring a lunch. Participants are encouraged to bring an extra water bottle in addition to their lunch drink.

REGISTRATION NOTE: By registering for this workshop, your district will be put on the waitlist.  The workshop will stay open for registration until one month before the workshop is scheduled to take place.  Once closed, the available spots will be divided amongst the districts who are on the wait list.
