Description

Activating Students as Owners of Their Own Learning
Activating students as owners of their own learning can produce extraordinary improvements in their achievement.  We will review the research on the impact of getting students more involved in their learning, as well as explore practical techniques for classroom implementation.

Topics explored will include:

- Metacognition
- Motivation
- Self-Assessment
- Learning logs
- Learning Targets

Dylan Wiliam states: Teachers have a crucial role to play in designing the situations in which learning takes place, but only learners create learning. Join us and learn how to help students improve how they manage learning processes and become owners of their own learning!
