Description

A makerspace is a place to turn your ideas into reality! Makers, inventors, dabblers, and dreamers converge to have fun, collaborate, and learn from each other.  Adults and children alike are captivated by the technological, robotic, artistic, and inventive designs produced by the makers.

Join us for a full day of making, tinkering, and designing flexible exploration space that support deep learning!

  • Begin your journey with an introduction to Makerspaces with Aaron Maurer, Maker enthusiast.
  • Collaborate with regional Maker colleagues as you experience the design process, complete challenges, and see examples of how this dynamic approach to learning can be part of your library, classroom, or school.
  • Experience a variety of hands-on activity stations and demonstrations through a Makerspace Exploration opportunity that will include animation, kid-friendly programming, robotics, simple and complex electronic circuits, mechanisms, Legos, 3D printers, and more.
  • Leave with ideas for getting started with Makerspace in your school.
