Description

This session will support school district instructional leaders and coaches.

It must be recognized. Student learning and teacher learning are inextricably linked.  Find a classroom where the teacher is actively engaged in their own professional growth and you’ll be led to students doing the same with their learning.     So how do we empower the adult learners in our buildings to take charge of their own professional growth?  How do we coach beyond shallow ‘observables’ and address the hidden ‘drivers’ such as attitudes, values and beliefs.  How can we support resistant teachers who can have a profound effect on the school climate and culture in both positive and negative ways.  This session will be filled with supportive tools to support teachers who positively embrace their professional growth as well as teachers who resist.

Participants will receive the book:   Creating a Culture for Reflective Practice:  Building Capacity for Schoolwide Success
