Description

This workshop is targeted for classroom teachers and administrators who have direct contact with and teach to students with high ability learning needs, including their unique social and emotional ones.   Author, speaker, and publisher Judy Galbraith will lead participants through a day of professional learning for classroom teachers and administrators focused on deepening the understanding of and serving the personal characteristics that many students with high ability learning needs require.  Educators will engage in activities that help them connect with and understand how gifted students perceive themselves and others.  They will leave this professional learning opportunity with a better understanding of the struggles that students with high ability learning needs encounter everyday and with tools to help them better serve those students & their families.  Ms. Galbraith’s own books include the very popular The Gifted Teen Survival Guide, When Gifted Kids Don’t Have All the Answers; in addition, she has published books by internationally-renowned HAL consultant, Dr. Richard Cash.  

 

PRICING NOTE: Price is $105.00 MAXIMUM for member school districts.  Final price will be determined by number of registrations.  $115.00 MAXIMUM for non-member school district, other ESUs or AEAs.  

 

Light breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack will be provided.
