Do you want to have active science learning in your classroom? This is an opportunity to participate in science investigations as you develop instructional strategies to engage students in doing science supported by reading and writing. Science instruction will be modeled using the Gather, Reason, Communicate instructional sequence.

This professional learning opportunity focuses on how elementary teachers can best use science phenomena to engage students in three-dimensional science consistent with Nebraska College and Career Standards for Science. Teachers will engage in investigations of science phenomena as effective instruction is modeled, and receive a complete set of lessons aligned to your grade-level science standards.

Participants will receive a copy of the book Teaching Science is Phenomenal.
