How will I know if a workshop is cancelled due to weather?
Listen to your local TV stations, check the ESU #3 web page (www.esu3.org) or call 597-4800 for a recorded message.
Can I be billed for a workshop fee or pay with a credit card?
Individuals cannot be billed for workshops and we are unable to process credit cards.
How are payments made for workshops?
Districts are billed for associated staff.
Can I cancel a registration for a workshop?
Cancellations will be accepted up to three business days before the workshop begins. Cancellations not received three business days in advance and "No-Shows" will be billed.
Can I participate if I am not affiliated with an ESU #3 school?
Registration is opened to the public. However, non-ESU #3 schools will be notified no later than three business days prior to the date of the workshop if there is no space available.

* These sessions build upon each other and participants must plan to attend all 3 sessions.
STOP the madness!! Problem behaviors can be difficult for a school team to manage. This series will help school staff understand and implement steps for completing an individualized Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) and an effective and individualized Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP). The presenters will share a variety of tools to help support teams in this process.
Objectives: Participants will be able to...
*Identify the four basic phases of behavioral intervention
*Determine the WHY of the behavior using Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) and the
tools shared at this workshop.
*Understand the importance of an individualized function based Behavior Intervention Plan
(BIP) including:
*How to prioritize behaviors, define target behaviors and set mastery criteria
*Selecting effective behavior change procedures: replacement behaviors, identifying
strategies/interventions specific to each function of behavior
*Strategies to train staff to implement with fidelity
*Use meaningful data and progress monitoring tools to evaluate and revise the plan as
needed |
