How will I know if a workshop is cancelled due to weather?
Listen to your local TV stations, check the ESU #3 web page (www.esu3.org) or call 597-4800 for a recorded message.
Can I be billed for a workshop fee or pay with a credit card?
Individuals cannot be billed for workshops and we are unable to process credit cards.
How are payments made for workshops?
Districts are billed for associated staff.
Can I cancel a registration for a workshop?
Cancellations will be accepted up to three business days before the workshop begins. Cancellations not received three business days in advance and "No-Shows" will be billed.
Can I participate if I am not affiliated with an ESU #3 school?
Registration is opened to the public. However, non-ESU #3 schools will be notified no later than three business days prior to the date of the workshop if there is no space available.

| Description | |  Erasing the Misery of Reading and Spelling Multi-Syllable Words for Adolescent Readers
When students don’t have strategies for reading big words, they often guess, skip or misread words. This contributes to the struggle to comprehend complex text and the students often get stuck at a third-grade reading level.
Participants will:
1. Learn how to teach students to read and spell big words using a simple and functional strategy.
2. Receive a set of Syllaboards, multi-syllabic manipulatives.
3. Receive a scope and sequence in which to teach all six syllable types.
