How will I know if a workshop is cancelled due to weather?
Listen to your local TV stations, check the ESU #3 web page (www.esu3.org) or call 597-4800 for a recorded message.
Can I be billed for a workshop fee or pay with a credit card?
Individuals cannot be billed for workshops and we are unable to process credit cards.
How are payments made for workshops?
Districts are billed for associated staff.
Can I cancel a registration for a workshop?
Cancellations will be accepted up to three business days before the workshop begins. Cancellations not received three business days in advance and "No-Shows" will be billed.
Can I participate if I am not affiliated with an ESU #3 school?
Registration is opened to the public. However, non-ESU #3 schools will be notified no later than three business days prior to the date of the workshop if there is no space available.
Description | | Foundation Cognitive Coaching Seminars® are eight-day trainings and are delivered in two 4 day series.
The agendas for these days include the Planning Conversation Map, the Reflecting Conversation Map, and the Tools of Cognitive CoachingSM.
In Part 1, participants will learn how to:
- develop trust and rapport with others
- support others in becoming self-directed
- utilize conversation structures for planning and reflecting to develop Educator’s autonomy and sense of community
- develop higher levels of efficacy, consciousness, craftsmanship, flexibility and interdependence in others
- know when and how to: coach, evaluate, consult, and collaborate
- use communication skills of pausing, paraphrasing, and posing questions
- distinguish among the five forms of feedback
- use data to mediate thinking
NOTE: Registration fees will be communicated to ESU/District contacts via the Executive Director of Professional Learning, Dr. Scott Blum.
