Join us for two immersive full-day professional learning experiences centered on exploring the theory and application of the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework as a key component of your Continuous Improvement and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) journey.

Each session will include a morning of learning and time in the afternoon for your team to reflect on learning, application, and plan actionable steps for implementation.

Intended Audience:

Newer to UDL: District/school leadership team, MTSS teams, instructional coaches, and educators passionate about designing learning for all students.

Outcomes:

Morning: Community of Practice

  • Gain a foundational understanding of the beliefs, system drivers, and skills of the UDL framework.

  • Analyze the three principles of UDL: multiple means of engagement, representation, and action/expression.

  • Connect how UDL supports learner variability and provides flexibility to meet diverse needs to support inclusive environments and practices within your instructional model.

  • Examine Nebraska standards through a UDL lens to build teacher clarity as the first step in intentionally planning to support all learners in Tier 1 instruction.

Afternoon: Focus of Practice

  • Explore opportunities to connect the UDL framework with existing initiatives and plan next steps based on your district’s context and needs.
