Description

Designing Blended Learning is an e-learning course for teachers that explains and demonstrates blended learning with interactive activities and locally relevant classroom examples. The course helps teachers transition to blended learning experiences and provides the background rationale, planning strategies, and suggested technology tools. It offers suggestions for assessing student learning in a blended course and managing the day-to-day blended environment.

Participants will:

·         Learn about classroom management strategies that support active learning in a blended classroom environment

·         Explore how technology fosters student communication and learning in a digital environment

·         Explore the role that assessment plays in a blended learning environment

·         Plan effective blended learning experiences with an existing lesson plan/unit

This course will run online from January 11 – February 19 with required weekly check-ins and activities.  By the end of the course participants will have built a blended learning unit plan that they use and test in their classrooms.
